Fitness Lifestyles has extended its commitment to enhancing the quality of life of its constituents by developing the internal resources to support two key federal grant programs.

1. The Carol M. White - Physical Education Program for schools and community based organizations.

OSDFS will award grants under this competition to local educational agencies and community-based organizations to initiate, expand, or improve physical education programs, including after-school programs, for students in one or more grades from kindergarten through 12th grade in order to help students make progress toward meeting state standards for physical education.

Schools and Community Organizations can apply for grants from 150,000 to 500,000 dollars.

2. The FEMA - US Fire Administration Grant Program. Specifically:

'Fire Operations and Fire Fighter Safety Grants' - The Department of Homeland Security through the Federal Emergency Management Agency supports Fire Fighter preparedness through the Assistance To Fire Fighters Grant Program. Eligible Activities Under this Format are Limited to Training, Wellness, Fitness, Fire Fighter Equipment, Personal Protection Equipment, and Modifications to Fire Stations and Facilities.

Professional and Volunteer Fire Departments can apply for up to 200,000 dollar grants for wellness screening/education and exercise equipment.

Fitness Lifestyles supplied The Atlantic City Fire Department with exercise equipment when they received their 2002 USFA Assitance Grant.
