PROGRAMMING FEATURES

Another cool feature of the X-Ride is the Muscle Endurance program. The program acts like a personal trainer that prompts you to cross-train with random commands to push and pull with your arms, pedal fast, go in reverse, use a wider grip and more. This interval program can really help to keep you motivated and prevent boredom.

Other programming features include the Leg Press and Chest Press programs. Both these programs build upper and lower body muscles with intervals of 10-15 repetitions. You can set the number of repetitions you want do as well as the resistance level. There are also fat burn, custom interval, beginner and heart rate control programs: something for everyone!

X-RIDE VS. OTHER CARDIO EQUIPMENT

Why chose the X-Ride over a recumbent bike?

343% more glute activity

23% increased calorie burn

Total-Body vs. Legs only

Strength training benefits

Ability to use both forward and reverse direction to change muscle focus

Why chose the X-Ride over an upright bike?

Increased caloric expenditure

Total-Body vs. Legs only

Elliptical motion

Comfortable large seat and backpad

I would choose the X-Ride over a bike; however when it comes to treadmills it all depends on the individual. If you have any injuries the low-impact X-Ride is perfect. If you’re a runner the X-Ride also offers awesome cross-training to allow the body a break. If you can manage, a treadmill and the X-Ride would be perfect! The X-Ride does offer a lower perceived exertion than the treadmill, a smaller footprint, and a much quieter operation.

All in all, the X-Ride delivers two awesome workouts in one space-efficient, quiet and virtually maintenance-free package. It’s definitely something you have to come in and try to fully appreciate so stop by Fitness Town anytime and check out the new X-Ride from Octane Fitness.

TRUE CS 8.or

The New X-Ride from Octane Fitness

Octane Fitness is a leader in elliptical cross-trainers and now they’ve done it again with a brand new piece of cardio equipment. The new X-Ride fits into a whole new category of exercise: the seated elliptical. The first of its kind, the X-Ride offers awesome low-impact exercise all the total-body benefits of elliptical while sitting down.

If you’re looking to lose weight, increase cardio endurance or strength, improve your overall health and wellness, or rehabilitate a bad knee, the X-Ride offers something for everyone.

X-RIDE ERGONOMICS

Octane uses body-mapping ergonomics to design their products. The design of the X-Ride yields exceptional comfort while ensuring productive, total-body workouts. The Active Seat Position allows you to really engage your glutes and burn far more calories than using a recumbent bike. The Multi-Grip Handlebars give you tons of variety and customization options to fully engage your upper body.

The X-Ride also has 20 different resistance levels so every exerciser can accommodate their personal preferences. The machine also has stationary handlebars and stationary foot pegs; this allows you to completely focus on the upper or lower body for strength. The stationary foot pegs allow you to isolate your upper body for focusing all your strength on your arms, chest, shoulders and back. The Multi-Grip Handlebars also hit your biceps and triceps.
